What is Splash?

Splash is an educational initiative that allows middle school and high school students to participate in small, interactive seminars designed and taught by passionate Duke students. These seminars cover a wide range of topics, and we’re proud to offer everything from Advanced Astrophysics to Disney Movie Culture. All of these classes take place on Duke’s campus during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Duke Splash will be $5 for participants and lunch will be provided to all attendees. We will also have t-shirts for sale, if you would like a souvenir from the day!

How Does this Work?

Interested and engaged students are what makes Splash the great program that it is! You can participate in Duke Splash by registering as a student through the “LEARN” tab, and then signing up for the classes you’re interested in taking during the day.
On the day of the event, students can be dropped off at our on-campus drop-off point where they will be met by excited volunteers and led to Splash’s help room and registration area. After a quick orientation, students will be led to their first classes and will begin their day! Volunteers will be available all day to help students find classrooms and with any other needs. At the end of Splash, students can be picked up at the on campus drop-off point.

Permission Forms

All students must fill out and bring the appropriate forms, found here with them on the day of Splash.

More Information

We are very excited to be able to make Duke Splash available for all students. We wouldn’t have been able to do so without the generous support of many different donors. If you would like to help us provide future programs at no cost to students, we will be accepting non tax-deductible donations. Donations can either be cash or checks made out to “Duke Splash”.
