Scholarship YOUniversity (for class of 2019)

Scholarship YOUniversity is a college and scholarship prep program for the Class of 2019 that helps students be their competitive best for college scholarships. Scholarship YOUniversity helps students . . .

  • identify academic and financial best-fit colleges/universities
  • search for and apply for scholarships
  • determine whether the SAT or ACT is a better fit
  • prepare for the SAT or ACT
  • develop application essays
  • complete college applications.
Scholarship YOUniversity is a limited-space program for the Class of 2019 that requires an application and minimum 3.5 GPA. Attend this info session and learn about becoming a part of this rigorous college prep program that can help you pay for college! Other info sessions will be held on the following dates (please click each for info):  July 20August 26  and  September 12.

Materials Science Day at UNC

Come to UNC Chapel Hill on Saturday, June 17 from 10am-4pm for Materials Science Day, a free event for high school students hosted by the UNC Chapter of the Materials Research Society and Be a Maker (BEAM) Makerspace (http://beam.unc.edu/).

During this event, you will have the opportunity to learn more about how to prepare for science/engineering careers, tour materials science research labs, and participate in a makerspace challenge. Lunch will be provided. Parent/guardian(s) are also invited to attend.
Last day to register is Fri, June 9.

Bryn Mawr College Travel Scholarship



We realize that cost can be a prohibitive factor when it comes to visiting colleges. Bryn Mawr is committed to making the visit experience a possibility for students with academic potential and a desire to be a part of a community of passionate learners. We offer a limited number of travel scholarships in the fall of each year for students who are unable to afford the expense of traveling to campus. The travel scholarship covers individual round-trip transportation to/from the student’s sending city to Bryn Mawr College, as well as all meals and accommodations while they are a guest on campus.
To be eligible for the program in the fall of 2017, a student must:

  • Reside in the U.S. or its associate territories
  • Be enrolled as a high school senior in the fall of 2017
  • Complete the online Travel Scholarship Application by Thursday, June 15, 2017
  • Have a secondary school counselor send an official school transcript (including a list of senior classes and school profile) via fax or email (PDF format only) by the above deadline
