Scholarship Opportunity

The U.S. News Path to College Scholarship is open to U.S. freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors in U.S. homeschool, public or private high schools who plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year U.S. college or university immediately following high school graduation. To apply for the need-blind scholarship, applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 or equivalent scale and be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident. Two winners will be selected based on academic performance, extracurricular activities, community volunteerism, leadership honors and awards, paid work experience and a brief essay. In the case of equivalent candidates, priority will be given based on the earlier date that this scholarship application is completed.

Free Cybersecurity Summer Camp in Vermont



     Juniors: Do you have some computer background and an interest in a degree or career in cybersecurity? If so, Norwich University in Northfield, VT is hosting a free residential cybersecurity camp for 21 high school juniors and seniors this summer, and there are still openings. However, the April 30th deadline to apply is approaching fast.

     Attendees get free tuition, room and board, and materials to the program. The camp introduces students to information security and cyber forensics through labs (including hands-on, outdoor, and competitive in-class exercises) and presentations from local experts and guest speakers. There are field trips planned to places like Ben & Jerry's and the Vermont Emergency Operations Center. Students will even be provided with the hardware and software to build a mini computer, which they get to keep at the end of the program! Click here to apply!

Help your teen chose a college

Seniors have less than 30 days to compare admissions offers and decide on a college. Students typically have until May 1 to submit an enrollment deposit to secure a spot for the fall semester.

Fall 2017 Enrollees - Request Final Amateurism Certification with NCAA

Starting April 1, students who plan to enroll full time at an NCAA Division I or II school this fall (2017) will be able to request their final amateurism certification. Students must have a registered Certification Account and an enrollment period of Fall 2017 to request. You can find more information about amateurism certification on our website and also share this step-by-step guide with your students if they have questions about how to request. If students need to update their enrollment period they can do so easily in their account.
