The submission deadline for the 2023-2024 school year Aubrey Lee Brooks Scholarship Program application has been extended until March 1, 2023 (originally February 14). The application system will shut off at 11:59pm (March 1) and after that time no actions related to the application submission process will be permitted.
Students must electronically submit their completed application, and all required associated documentation via the application system (MyPortal) by March 1 to receive consideration. There will be no additional extensions.
A complete application consists of:
- Application
- NC High School Academic Transcript (must include final grades for Fall 2022 term classes)
- SAT/ACT Scores (if not taken, a memo must be uploaded explaining why)
- Recommendations (2)
- 2023-2024 FAFSA (fully processed by the US Dept. of Education)
Note:
- Items 1, 2 and 3 are submitted electronically via the student’s account in the application system (MyPortal).
- Recommendations are submitted electronically by student selected recommenders via a system provided MyPortl link.
- We will be able to obtain student’s FAFSA information directly from the US Dept. of Education if at least one NC college/university is listed in the school section.
