With the novel coronavirus surging in parts of the nation, some high schools that opened in person have been forced online, and others were already committed to remote instruction. In the absence of in-person classes, some extracurricular activities will be canceled, especially team sports. Others, however, will go on – some in new and innovative ways. But those locked out of extracurriculars this year shouldn't fret. While these activities can help your teen build a high school resume for college admissions, experts say students should focus on academics and self-care.
