Hum Sub Youth Achievement Awards - Chance to win $500!

  Hum Sub is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (https://www.humsub.org) based out of Cary, NC.  I serve as the current president of the organization.  This is our 22nd year of serving the Triangle community.   I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to the Hum Sub Youth Achievement Awards.  I may have communicated with you about it in the last year or two.  Every year, we recognize 4 outstanding Middle / High School students who are:

leaders in their community and volunteers to help others

involved in research and innovation that can change the world

excel in the classroom and contributes to your community through activities such as arts, music, dance & sports

Awardees are felicitated at Hum Sub Diwali on our flagship festival stage in front of a packed audience.  We encourage and invite students of all social, economic and ethnic backgrounds to apply for these awards.  


Note: This award is not limited to people of Asian descent.

NC State is Test-Optional for 2023 and 2024 Applicants

NC State has extended our test-optional policy for 2023 and 2024 applicants. First-year applicants for 2023 and 2024 spring and fall admission will not be required to submit SAT or ACT scores to complete their application. On the application, students will have the option to indicate whether or not they would like test scores to be considered in their application review. If they indicate yes, they will be required to submit SAT or ACT scores to complete their application. If they indicate no, test scores will not be required and any scores we may already have on record will not be displayed to application reviewers.

Volunteers Needed for Kindergarten Boot Camp

High School students are needed to help with Voyager Kindergarten Boot Camp. June 27-30th from 9-4 pm. Please contact Ms. Mitchell (dmitchell@voyageracademy.net) or Ms. Vargas ( avargas@voyageracademy.net) for more information. This will be a great experience for our new Voyager Academy students!
