North Carolina’s application process for this year’s United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP) officially opened Thursday, August 1, 2019!
The United States Senate Youth Program is a scholarship program that provides an educational opportunity for juniors and seniors interested in pursuing college coursework in history or political science. Student delegates who win the $10,000 scholarship and attend the week-long event in Washington, D.C. March will hear major policy addresses by Senators, cabinet members and directors from other federal agencies.
- North Carolina applications will be available August 1 through October 6, 2019.
- Deadline for submission is 11:59 p.m. Sunday, October 6, 2019.
