NCSU Pre-College Summer Programs

With the summer approaching soon, we want to share information about the college enrichment opportunities that could be of interest to VAHS students. NCSU will  host three pre-college programs for rising juniors and seniors to learn about higher education opportunities and cultural reinforcement. This is for students to find and build a strong sense of community while also preparing for the college application process and university experience.

CAMINOS: Your Journey to College is geared towards students who identify as Hispanic or Latinx or have an interest in the culture. The program will be held from June 18-22.

Native Education Forum is geared towards students who identify as Native American or American Indian or have an interest in the culture. The program will be held from June 18-24.

Emerging Scholars Academy is geared towards students who identify as Black or African American or have an interest in the culture. The program will be held from June 25-July 1.

All summer programs will be in person, and students will stay in residence halls for their participation. Students with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.4 or higher or are in the top 15% of their class and are interested in pursuing college should apply. The deadline to apply is Friday, April 7. For more information, visit the

Pre-College Programs website.
